What is EPD

EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) reports the environmental data of the product's entire life cycle in accordance with the international standard ISO14025. EPD helps buyers and consumers better understand the sustainability and environmental impact of products. EPD is one of the environmental labels issued by the International Organization for Standardization ISO. Europe, the United States, Germany, France, Japan, etc. have successively carried out EPD verification

The release of the EPD report provides strong support for product ecological design, green procurement, and green consumption. The certification results of EPD can be used as reference factors in the eco-design process. Among them, the type III environmental label, because it is based on quantitative LCA analysis, can be directly used as the basis for eco-design, providing data support for material selection in eco-design. The certification results of EPDs provide purchasers and consumers with another parameter option besides product performance, price, function and other parameters -- environmental impact.
