At the end of every year, at the beginning of the New Year, we  would always leave out some wishes and words for the coming New Year: 

One is the review of the past,

The other is the expectation for the new year.

Before start writing, all of the challenges and opportunities we came through last year had came to my mind like the movie scenes. 

My first keywords for 2022 must be "Uncertainty"

This year, the most common scene is that people are doing nucleic acid detection, everthing and everywhere had been closed down; 2022 can be said to be the most "uncertain" and "interrupted" year since the three-year epidemic；Shanghai's continuous three-month "blockade" revolves around countless "online meetings and communications"。The entire company's operations had never been carried out smoothly, countless business trip plans had been interrupted；When I saw the repport of last year's statistic by accident, I found out that I only had "one" official flight in 2022, which is the "only" for decades.

While facing the "Uncertainty", lots of "negative feelings"which combine with In the face of "uncertainty", there are many different but similar "negative feelings" such as "fear", "uneasiness", "escape" and "Lying Flat".

This year we also experienced "hesitation" in our hearts, but as the company's management, I must give everyone confidence, suppress the "uneasiness" in my heart, and deal with uncertainties with an optimistic attitude.

In fact, the truth will always be, either adapt to the environment, or be transformed by the environment; in the complex uncertainties, we can also find the frequency and rhythm that we can adapt to; obtain the path of our survival and development.

The second keyword should be "Bravery"

As a responsible third-party technical service company, our main delivery method is to travel to the enterprise site for service and issue reports. Although various precautionary travel restriction policies have been adopted throughout the country in 2022，but as for us, we takes customer service as our mission，Our colleagues always break through all difficulties and carry out services in compliance with laws and regulations while ensuring their own protection. In this process, our inspection, audit, certification, training and technical service partners had paid a lot. They had been isolated, "persuaded", and "complained or disliked" by their families, but they had never affected their responsibility for the work and their responsibility to customers.They are not only Leverage's brave colleagues, but also thousands of "countermarch people" who have worked hard for China's socialist construction.

The third keyword should be "Responsibility"

This year, we did not celebrate the 8th anniversary of the company; We didn't have a year-end party; Everything is striving for "pragmatism, responsibility and development". 

Shanghai's sudden "blockade" in March caused chaos in the company's operations and difficulties in the lives of employees; During this period of time, we hold online meetings every day to encourage everyone；We have not dismissed any employees, there have been no delays or non-payment of wages; We even organized a free group purchase of "epidemic care food packs" for employees to provide basic support for employees' lives。

The more we are in the "uncertain" moment, the more we must not forget our original intention and stick to the mission when we started our business; inject precious resources into the survival and development of the company. We have invested a lot of money in the construction of the data platform, the research and development of the IT system, the version change of the website, and a lot of investment in new projects, new qualifications and new technologies. Because we know that the greatest responsibility to the company and its colleagues is to enable the company to "survive", so that we can have the advantage in future development. Although resources are limited and decision-making is not easy, as a company with a long-term development philosophy, this is our responsible choice.

The fourth key word "Sustainability"

Sustainable development, ESG, SDGs, and low carbon are all the most "hot" words at this stage. It is also deeply integrated with the "sustainable" development of our company, for which we will also have some results in 2022. 

In the complex and uncertain environment at home and abroad, we stick to our original intention when we started our business, operate the company and serve customers as our mission; actively face challenges, overcome difficulties, and break down barriers legally.

This year we launched "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality" related training, certification and strategic consulting services; This year, we cooperated with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research and were hired to give lectures on ESG advanced seminars; We also cooperate with IPC to promote the calibration of IPC-1401A corporate social responsibility management system standard and cooperation in course training, etc.

We also published the first-ever Roadmap to Carbon Neutrality report in Leverage’s history；We also published the first Carbon Neutrality Roadmap report in the history of Leverage, becoming the first organization in the global TIC industry to join the SBTi Science-Based Carbon Targets project. We became the "Carbon Neutral Global Action Partner" of the UNIDO Global Innovation Network Project, and joined the CCCA China Enterprise Climate Action Organization to show the world the responsible climate actions of our Chinese enterprises.

The fifth key word should be "Compliance"

Since joining UNGC, we have committed to practicing the ten basic principles of the United Nations; we started publishing ESG sustainable development reports in 2021 to strengthen management and disclosure in corporate governance.

In terms of compliance, the management has successively obtained the qualifications of "Enterprise Compliance Manager" and "Global Anti-Fraud Expert", joined the China Enterprise Anti-Fraud Alliance, the director of the Shanghai Enterprise Legal Counsel Association and other organizations and was hired as the Shanghai Enterprise Compliance Research Center Compliance and social responsibility think tank experts and other positions.

We are also subject to periodic and non-periodic supervision by such organizations as UNGC, SAI, AWS, CNCA, CNAS, Market Supervision Administration, Customs, etc, and face up to their own shortcomings, positive improvement, negative disclosure, communicate honestly and responsibly with relevant stakeholders to improve the corporate governance structure and actions.

At the same time, we also launched ISO37301 compliance management system construction and certification services; such as ISO37301 compliance management system auditor training courses, standard implementation training, management system certification and other services. We use compliance services to help corporate clients build and develop their compliance management systems.

The sixth key word should be "Teamwork"

Leverage has always cherished every partner who shares the same heart, fate and development with the company; the survival and development of a company cannot be separated from the colleagues of the company, which is the most critical factor. We have open communication methods and platforms, institutionalized policies and guidelines, and a diverse culture and atmosphere; we strive to build harmony, coordination, and mutual trust among teams.

In an environment full of "uncertainty", team members' sense of responsibility, positive attitude, and active learning ability are particularly important.

We "break"a "bright" road amidst the thorns of uncertainty requires team members to work together with one heart and one mind, with firm beliefs and courage, and work together for the future of the company and its own development.

This is the inescapable "reality" of this era, and it is also the "sobriety" needed for survival.

The seventh keyword should be "Expectations"

As for myself or the company, there are many expectations; some expectations are for responsibility, feelings, and missions.

Over the years of entrepreneurship , it is also the expectation that my partners and I have always insisted on and fulfilled.

In 2023, I hope to have a growing and developing team, maybe this is the only thing I want to hope for; as far as Leveragecould have a strong team, we will be able to overcome obstacles, overcome all difficulties, and fulfill our expectations one by one.

The eighth keyword should be "Thanksgiving"

Gratitude comes from our experiences and feelings. We are deeply grateful for the support and encouragement of stakeholders and friends over the years; from the government, regulatory agencies, shareholders, employees, customers, suppliers and partners; thank you for your trust , when we face challenges again and again, it is your support that fills us with confidence and hope, and makes us move towards our goals firmly.

Thanks to our dear colleagues for their persistence and trust when the company faced a challenge and uncertainty. The development of Leverage is inseparable from the efforts and dedication of our partners.
