At 10 am on June 20, 2023, the Third PBIF Global Plant-based Industry Conference and Carbon Neutral (Public welfare) Forum was held at the National Convention and Exhibition Center, Leverage CEO Mr. Qu Weifeng was also invited to attend.
The theme of this forum is: High-quality development opportunities brought by sustainable development ESG and carbon neutrality to enterprises. Sustainable development has become the consensus of all mankind. It is the foundation of the food, beverage and raw material industries and the true industry guideline. Global food systems are under increasing pressure due to climate change, changing diets, and increasing demands on finite resources from population growth, with numerous reports confirming that diet and carbon emissions are inextricably linked.
In recent years, in the food, beverage and raw material industries, more and more companies are continuing to communicate and cooperate with the "PBIF Global Plant-based Carbon Neutral Industry Development Project" and the "1.5CInnoLAB Climate Economic Laboratory" in the field of SDGs & ESG. We hope to help plan and implement a sustainable development model that is conducive to environmental protection.

The forum invited relevant experts (green design, developing green products, creating green supply chains, creating carbon neutral factories and parks, green finance, impact investment and financing, CCER carbon inclusion, etc.) to give keynote speeches to empower enterprises, communicate with each other and provide practical solutions.
After the keynote speech, there was a round table exchange and sharing session, Mr. Qu was also invited as well.
Mr. Qu first introduced the development history and mission of Leverage, and then introduced the causes, forms and hazards of "greenwashing" behavior in the process of sustainable development of enterprises through case sharing. He called for stricter supervision and better legislation, and called for improving the transparency of corporate environmental information disclosure, strengthen internal and external governance of enterprises.
